While some things do require a trip to the emergency department, most pediatric illnesses and injuries can be managed in a clinic if the right tools are available.
At The Pediatric Express, we offer on-site x-rays as well as common on-site lab tests. The results are available quickly so you do not have to go home wondering if your child is going to be okay.
In addition, we offer treatment for many injuries. We can suture lacerations and we offer medical glue instead of stitches when appropriate. We can splint broken bones and provide care for sprains and strains. Our board-certified pediatricians can diagnose and treat most childhood illnesses and injuries, including:
- Fever
- Colds and Flu
- Pneumonia
- Sinus infections
- Ear infections
- Sore throat
- Asthma
- Rashes
- Allergic reactions
- Pink eye
- Abdominal pain
- Urinary tract infections
- Bumps and Bruises
- Foreign bodies in ears and noses
- Lacerations
- Fractures
- Sprains and Strains
- Sports/camp/daycare physicals
If your child requires care beyond our capabilities, we will make sure that we get you to the right place. In addition, we offer camp, sports, and daycare physicals for a reasonable flat fee that is not billed to your insurance company.
The Pediatric Express offers professional ear piercing for children as young as 3 months. The $50.00 fee includes piercing, earrings, cleaning solution, and numbing gel.
The Pediatric Express will be closed on New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. Our office hours on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve will be from 12pm to 4pm.
The Pediatric Express does not offer the services of a phone advice nurse and are therefore unable to provide medical advice over the phone. We are always happy to see you child if you are concerned, or you may contact your primary care provider if you prefer to speak with an advice nurse.
Patients are checked in until 15 minutes before our closing time.
